TheTM-12 thermocouple thermometry system will monitor temperature at up to eight sites. Sensor inputs are RF shielded, and data from the sensors is sent via RS232 interface to a computer. This combination of filtering and fast, accurate transmission of data is designed specifically for modern hyperthermia systems. The TM-12 can be used with microwave, RF and ultrasound since Physitemp has implantable microprobes suitable for all of these techniques.
The TM-12 turns any IBM-compatible computer into a control center. You select the channels to be monitored and the update rate. Update rate can be as fast as eight channels per second or as slow as one cycle every 24 hours. Record keeping is automatic. Print and file facilities are activated by single keystrokes. Operating software is user-friendly and simple; set-up time is very short.
Temperatures are displayed with a resolution of 0.01°C. Physitemp's clinical range of thermocouple probes are made with specially graded thermocouple wire and are accurate to 0.1° C in the physiological range.
Input filters and shielding attenuate RFand microwave interference. A combination of fiber-optic links and high isolation AC-DC converters are used to isolate input circuitry.
